E20 revolt 28 Jul: taxi union calls Parliament march; Gaadi March in 3 days
28 July 2026: Delhi Taxi and Tourist Transporters Association announces a peaceful Parliament march on 4 August against forced E20. Same week the Centre admits in Parliament it never assessed what share of India's vehicles are fully E20-compatible. Team Bharat's Gaadi March, Gandhi March is still set for 31 July past Gadkari and Puri. Demand stays: consumer choice and Nitin Gadkari resign.

28 JULY PROTEST CALL. Delhi Taxi and Tourist Transport and Tour Operators Association (president Sanjay Samrat) announces a peaceful march to Parliament on 4 August against ethanol-blended petrol. ANI / LatestLY / HT cover it. Line from the association: lakhs of bikes, cars, and taxis risk becoming scrap; older fleets were not built for forced E20; remove the ethanol mandate / get independent scientific review. They say the march is commercial-vehicle pain, not party theatre. After CJP forced a minister out, transporters are walking into the same pressure zone. Next street dates: Team Bharat Gaadi March 31 July, taxi/transport Parliament march 4 August.
PARLIAMENT BOMB under the protest.
Government reply (Rajya Sabha, MoS Petroleum Suresh Gopi): Ministry of Heavy Industries has done NO assessment of what percentage of vehicles in India are fully compatible with E20. They still claim lab trials and field data show the fuel is 'safe' and deny widespread engine failure. Citizens' translation: you forced a 20% blend nationwide without counting how many tanks and rubber parts were never designed for it. That is why scooters struggle and taxi unions march. Demand resignation and choice, not another humility tweet.
HEAT MAP 28 JULY. Hindustan Times: Centre takes more flak; sacking / resignation talk around Nitin Gadkari and Hardeep Singh Puri; transport unions on protest footing; AAP says a campaign against E20 starts next month. AutoX: E20 Janta Party online following in the lakhs; offline marches stacking; a PIL against forced blend without choice is reported toward the Supreme Court. Team Bharat still locks Gaadi March for 31 July (India Gate → Gadkari / Puri → Parliament Street) with Gadkari-resign language in Statesman coverage. This is not one tweet anymore. It is a calendar of street pressure.
HIS JOB IS ROADS. Nitin Gadkari is Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways. In Parliament he promised India's road infrastructure would be like America's by 2024 (Firstpost / Times Now). It is 2026. Monsoon lakes on lanes. New asphalt that dies in months. Corruption in tenders is the open secret. Same ministry told Parliament: 9,438 deaths from potholes and road engineering defects, 2020-2024. Gadkari also admitted India tops road deaths and he tries to 'hide his face' at global crash conferences. Who is this man to decide forced E20 for your tank while the roads he owns still kill? Resignation is the minimum. Not a speech. Not a ribbon.
DEMAND: NITIN GADKARI RESIGN.
Inspired by CJP's win, the E20 Janta Party launches a campaign for consumer choice: sell 100% petrol alongside blends, transparent labelling, independent mileage / engine / cost data. Core political ask: Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari must resign over the E20 push. TOI and Economic Times cover the launch. Transporters in Delhi also plan a Parliament march (reported for 4 Aug). This is not a meme. Scooters that refuse to start and tanks that rust are the street evidence ministers call 'false narrative'.
31 JULY DELHI: Team Bharat announces 'Gaadi March, Gandhi March', a peaceful vehicle protest against forced E20.
Route reported: India Gate past offices / residences of Nitin Gadkari and Hardeep Singh Puri, toward Parliament Street. Demands in coverage include restoring E10 choice for vehicles built for it, cheaper ethanol-free option, public E20 policy papers, fixes for pre-2023 vehicles, and addressing Gadkari conflict-of-interest questions. Note: this is Team Bharat's call, not the same as the CJP Jantar Mantar sit-in. Support CJP-style nationwide peaceful pressure. Do not invent that Dipke scheduled this march unless he says so on record.
Gadkari's defence: mileage may dip because ethanol has lower calorific value; vehicle damage talk is 'overblown' / 'false narrative'; show him one damaged car.
Petroleum ministry has cited roughly 3-5% efficiency loss in some cases. ARAI controlled tests reported about 2-6% drop vs E10. Citizens' lived experience: harder starts, worse mileage, corroding parts, expensive 'premium' ethanol-free petrol at select pumps. Official lab numbers do not erase garage bills. When the minister who championed the blend also faces conflict questions over family ethanol links (he calls the share tiny), resignation is a fair civic demand, not hate.
