Whistle · Safety

Stay safe while you fight

Courage without a plan can get you hurt. This page is for people who will complain anyway, and want to stay standing.

Golden rules

  • If you feel unsafe, leave. Complain later in writing.
  • Tell one trusted family member or friend what you are doing.
  • Prefer portals, email, and registered post over late-night confrontation.
  • Do not go alone to threaten powerful people in private.
  • Keep copies outside only your phone when you can.
  • No violence. No fake papers. No threats.
  • Immediate danger: local emergency help first. Trishola is not a helpline.

What to record

  • Date, time, place
  • What was asked (cash, favour, delay threat)
  • Name, designation, badge or desk number if visible
  • Who else was present (without endangering them)
  • Receipts, application numbers, screenshots of portals

What not to do

  • Do not post raw Aadhaar, bank statements, or child photos online.
  • Do not send private IDs to random Telegram “helpers”.
  • Do not pay a second bribe to “fix” the first bribe.
  • Do not invent evidence. Truth with dates is stronger.

When to go public

  • After you have a written trail (ticket number, email copy).
  • When silence continues and public sunlight helps safety.
  • Prefer facts + sources. Avoid rumour piles that smear the wrong person.
  • Students: share the paper leaks page, not panic forwards.

Whistle path (simple)

  1. Write the facts the same day.
  2. File the smallest safe channel first (portal / RTI / department email).
  3. Escalate with the same facts if ignored.
  4. If life is threatened, prioritise safety and local police / emergency help.
