What to do (step by step)

  1. Prefer official Sarathi / Parivahan online services where possible.
  2. Ask for a written fee receipt for every payment.
  3. Refuse "fast track cash" from random agents outside the office.
  4. Note the counter number, date, and person who asked for extra money.
  5. Complaint to the RTO office head and state transport grievance channel.
  6. Also file on CPGRAMS with city and RTO name.

Tips

  • Official fees are published. Extra cash is usually the red flag.
  • Take screenshots of the portal fee page before you go.
