Cyber fraud

Cyber fraud complaint

UPI fraud, fake links, OTP theft, or online shopping payment scams.

Who this is for

Anyone who lost money to an online or UPI scam.

Real life (simple)

  • Someone calls saying they are from “ED / cyber cell”, asks you to install an app, and your UPI money leaves.
  • Real-life move: stop talking, freeze cards via bank, dial 1930 / cybercrime.gov.in quickly, keep call recordings and SMS. Do not pay any “refund agent”.

What to do (step by step)

  1. Call your bank helpline immediately and block the account or UPI if needed.
  2. Note UTR, UPI ID, phone numbers, and screenshots.
  3. File on the National Cybercrime Portal as soon as you can.
  4. Also give a written complaint at the local police station if asked.
  5. Follow bank dispute steps in writing.
  6. Do not pay any recovery agent who cold-calls you.

Tips

  • Keep written proof.
  • Ask for acknowledgement numbers.
  • Escalate if there is silence.

Warnings

  • Do not use violence.
  • Do not send private files to Trishola. Stay on official portals.
