Real life (simple)

  • For a birth certificate copy, someone says “fast track fee ₹1,000 cash, no receipt”. Official fee is printed on the portal.
  • Real-life move: pay only at the counter with receipt, note who asked for cash, complain to the department grievance cell, then CPGRAMS if ignored.

What to do (step by step)

  1. Ask for the official fee list and a receipt.
  2. Write an application and take an acknowledgement (inward number / stamp).
  3. If still delayed for cash, note names, dates, and what was said.
  4. File RTI asking status of your application and reasons for delay.
  5. File grievance on CPGRAMS and your state portal.
  6. Send the complaint draft by email/post to the head of office.

Tips

  • Acknowledgement is power. Always get proof you submitted the request.
  • Speak to the supervisor if the clerk alone is blocking you.
