Savitribai Phule

Pioneer of girls' schooling in India. Taught when society threw mud and abuse at a woman who opened a classroom door.

With Jyotirao Phule she built schools for girls and for children pushed out by caste. Literacy as liberation.

Every exam-leak fight today sits downstream of that older fight: education must belong to the many, not the gatekeepers.

Why on this wall

Education access against social tyranny.
