The students who faced the crackdown
Hundreds of unnamed students on Sansad Chalo who met lathis, tear gas, and alleged pellet fire, then still refused to go home. A salute to every person who showed up knowing the state might answer with force.
On 20 July 2026, CJP's Sansad Chalo march toward Parliament met batons and tear gas. Eyewitness and hospital reporting put civilian injuries in the hundreds. Students said they were dragged, beaten on the head and upper body, and packed into police buses. Some fled into Gurdwara Bangla Sahib. Delhi Metro stations near the route were shut. Internet in the area was cut.
Protesters and some coverage also alleged pellet guns. Delhi Police denied that claim and said they were maintaining order. Trishola records both: the allegation, and the denial. The bruises do not need a press conference.
Most of these people will never get a profile photo. They came with the national flag and a copy of the Constitution, as CJP asked. That is enough. A salute to every student, parent, and stranger who showed up, took the hit, and kept the demand alive: Pradhan must go, exam rot must end.
Why on this wall
Courage is not only the named leaders. It is also the crowd that walked into tear gas and came back the next day.
